gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub
and added nolapic to this line:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nolapic"

Hi again!
The cooling- fan seems to work fine again when I boot the live-cd with
the nolapic parameter. :-D
But I am not sure how to get it to work if I installed Lucid on my
harddisk. :-?
I hope someone will get in to this issue and make sure that an Acer 5315
laptop will function without havin
