Well, there are 3 different issues with the 1005PE model, which are
related.
First, Win7 compatible bios, check if the eeepc-laptop module is loaded:
lsmod | grep eee
If not, you'll need this kernel parameter:
acpi_osi=Linux
Second, to fix the brightness, another parameter:
acpi_backlight=vendor
'couple of things: I catched an oops when reenabling the WiFi con fn-F2.
Will attach the oops to this entry.
As an additional hint, if you do sudo rmmod ath9k ; sudo modprobe
ath9k normally (almost everytime) the wifi connection starts again.
I did not test ethernet (cable) connection.

I tested wireless connection.
At first, the Wi-Fi light is on, both ethernet and Wi-Fi can work, see
dmesg information: demsg.both.txt ;
When toggle off wireless(Fn+F2), disable both ethernet and Wi-Fi, see

When I toggle on wireless again, ethernet
