I was experiencing this bug in Karmic (incorrectly themed volume icon in
the Indicator Applet). I was finally able to resolve the issue by
simply removing both the "Indicator Applet Session 0.3.7" and the
"Indicator Applet 0.3.7" and then adding them back. Removing just the
Indicator Applet and a
I am running Lucid and the gnome-volume-control-applet is different from
the rest of my theme. The theme I am using is
Icons: Humanity (although it's still mismatched with all Human* icon sets)
Controls: Human-Clearlooks

I get a additional applet with wrong icon when I open "Sound
Preferences". After closing "Sound Preferences", the volume applet with
wrong icon stays in the panel. So there are two sound applets with
different icons in the panel now (see attached picture). The applet goes
away after restart.

Why did you removed the extra 24px audio icons in version 0.0.17 ??
Everthing was working perfectly before doing this. With the volume
applet AND the indicator applet …

Sebastien Bacher , this would actually be a wishlist bug. The reporters have
probably downloaded the ubuntu-mono package and are using it in Karmic.
gnome-media uses the non -panel icon names still , we removed the volume icons
which didnt use *-panel name from ubuntu-mono so that the icons dont
everything was ok before what? what did you change? could you make a
screenshot of your issue?

Looks like you are not using the indicator-applet ?
The icon is supposed to be used only in the panel. The indicator applet uses
the monochrome icons , since it detects the icons with *-panel names.
If you are using the icons in earlier versions than Lucid , in Karmic ,
you will notices such prob
