For non-developers, a separately packaged adb would also be of interest.
Since UMS mount is not supported for many ICS devices, and mtp has
troubles of its own, adb often is the best way to copy files between
device and computer.

I just wanted to propose this needs-packaging too. Fortunately you did it long
time ago but unfortunately nothing happens. Now we have a better chance because
we can share it on Twitter, Facebook or Google+.
The Point is that Ubuntu is not ready to be the best gameing plattform
or the best platf
