Same thing here. In OpenOffice 3.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 I can select DejaVu condensed but nothing happens. I need this style to gain space on texts. Droid fonts have this kind of look I need but I think that in some cases DejaVu condensed can give the same results. -- Dejavu condensed fonts not

Duplicated on Ubuntu 9.10 with OpenOffice 3.2 with the same results. Format Character allows selection of Condensed but changes back to Book when Character window is closed. I am able to select and use Condensed in Appearances Font setup and the system responds as expected. Note that a while back
