Happens in Natty release too.
VLC Version: 1.1.9-1ubuntu1
To reproduce:
1. grab the VLC playlist from http://deevaradio.net/diva/index.html (this is
the funk one!)
2. start vlc in graphical mode (this bug never happened so far when listening
the stream in cvlc!)
3. open the playlist file
4. place
This bug is still present in Natty beta 1, and it shows up randomly
while playing different video files.

I've now upgraded to Maverick and can confirm that the MP3 no longer
plays in VLC at all, though it still plays fine in gxine. It appears as
it's playing, with only silence. Console messages are:

Rusivi1, I downloaded and ran the Maverick live cd then installed VLC
and all the usual audio codecs from the repo. The end result is the mp3
file doesn't play at all. The counter goes and the scroll bar moves as
