audex crashes when setting up new encoding
Audex was Segmentation Faulting for me when saving profiles or doing a Codec
Scan from the profile configuration window. After getting all the encoders that
Audex looks for installed and removing ~/.kde/share/config/audexrc, it no
longer Seg Faulted.
The encoders I needed to install are lame,
Having the same problem and googled a lot of forums where everybody
says, just delete~/.kde/share/config/audexrc I have to ask my
question now.
Problem is, that I can't find this folder. All I find is audexui.rc in
the location root/usr/share/kde4/apps/audex but this file is
restricted
Had the same problem: crash when trying to create a new profile or when
searching for codes (Kubuntu 10.04.1).
Deleting ~/.kde/share/config/audexrc helps. Suddenly I have a lot of predefined
profiles available, that weren't there before.

Exactly the same as Olaf, Lucid 64bit on a Thinkpad. Audex crashes:
1. When I click Ok on the Create new profile dialog. Workaround:
edit an existing profile. Adding a profile to
~.kde/share/config/audexrc by hand had no effect.
2. When I install and run Audex without having installed lame,
