Duncan, if (after updates) you are still experiencing the funky
behaviors, I can recommend running evtest-capture (installed in ubuntu),
and posting the resulting xml file here.

I watched the video. I understand more now.
it looks a small mapping problem in mtview rather than something in
the ntrig driver/fw !
The mtview supposes the window in fullscreen and doesn't detect if the
window is placed somewhere in the screen.
For unity, you have the bar on the Left which
Ikbel, the placement of the touches is not the problem here - it depends
on the size of the window, of course. The problem is that touches are
not registered properly. Since you have the HP TX2, it would be
immensely helpful to see a similar view of your hardware, both with the
stock ntrig driver
Ikbel,
As Henrik mentioned, this ticket really has to do with the insensitivity
of the Lenovo screen, especially in the center. This video shows the
problems with getting touches accepted, and also highlights the
positioning issue (which should really be in a bug of it's own). Also,

One major grief with the ntrig devices is the poor filtering of ghost
contacts. The ghosts fall on random combinations of X and Y from the
real contacts (x_i, y_i), such that (x_i, y_j) may become a contact for
arbitrary i != j. Running the mtview program (git clone
is this problem only found in the T410s ?
I tested on my hp tx2 and I haven't figured any problem or ghost contacts.
Why we lose ntrig as a mt driver just for one hardware failure case ?

The problem comes and goes, so testing at several occasions might be a

I'll test several times to see if any problem occurs.
But I haven't noticed this problem before (I still have no problems
with the hp tx2).
Can you post some mtview screenshots to see how it exactly occurs on the
