Dear Members!
PC Beep works for me on Ubuntu 10.04 and 11.10. It doesn't work on UBUNTU
11.04. I try to work around but:
A Bug #91681 (gnome-alsamixer fails with SIGSEGV) also affects me.
Maybe the same reason - ???

I've tested this in Natty and I've observed:
Opening Sound Preference - Alert tone, (hope that is so in English), if move up
the volume and press a key noone sound is reproduced, but if we click on on
another tone, the theme is switched from Ubuntu to Personalized.
Now we press the

Thanks for responding on this issue. I do understand how important this
can be. I did manage to get the keyboard tones enabled in Ubuntu 10.04.
After following what you have already tried, I opened the volume control
by clicking on the speaker in the panel, then clicking on Sound
Preferences
not make the sound it should.
I really need that because of the disability, Please find a way to fix it as
soon as possible.
