thanks for the report, works fine here, with which kind of files are you
testing that? could you tell us a few easy steps in order to reproduce
it? do you have the rights to change the permissions?

I think I've found the problem. And its probably not really a bug.
I selected the folder and want to set the bits for permissions from the files
in this folder.
This doesn't work. Every time I select the menu for file-permission it jumps
back to -- (because its a folder and not a file).
