For my hardware bug I just tested it with a laptop with Ubuntu 10.04 - no hang, all works fine. On a different computer with Ubuntu 10.10 (and nvidia driver) it is enough to just plug in the receiver (even with keyboard and mouse batteries removed) to get the left click on all other mice stop

I can replicate this very same problem. Did a distribution upgrade to RC, and now to 10.10 Final after launch and it still persists. Basically once any Sound output occurs (Rhythmbox or Flash) the left- click stops responding. Oddly enough the Ubuntu sound plays fine on login, so I don't
