The actual patch isn't large, and it fixes the issue. This is a good
candidate for a stable release update; the policy for which was only
ratified last week. I'll upload a fixed package to edgy-proposed
shortly, where we'll need to get testing reports from five people.

A new tar.gz was uploaded to
http://sf.net/projects/linsmith
with a bugfix for the fontnames. Will look a bit deeper
for similar problems later.

I have a similar crash on startup with the exiting of
update_cursor_values() failing a stack smashing check. There's a
temporary buffer which isn't made big enough. This patch expands the
size of the buffer to 512 bytes and makes sure we don't overrun. However
it doesn't do anything in the case whe
It seems that after I build linsmit on my own PC it started to
work ok and no crashed appeared.

I wrote a fix for this. After I applied and build a new package linsmith
doesn't crash anymore.
