The problem turned out to be a bad spot on the USB drive I was booting
from. I changed the bug status to invalid -- hopefully that's the
proper way to kill off the bug.

I guess I should add more details. The hard drive got a couple
partitions added, and the installer was copying files. While the files
were copying I had picked a username, machine name, and password. Oh
and I told it what my time zone is. Then the installer was showing me a
slide show of all
