Unfortunately even alpha 6 doesn't boot on my laptop (see also

source-2.6.20/+bug/67395/comments/14). Maybe my CD drive is broken. But
I couldn't find the the linux-image-2.6.27-* package to install it.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
The Alpha-4 live CD doesn't boot at all because it's not recognized as a
bootable CD. The kernel boot option reboot=b doesn't help.

Also, just curious what happens if you try booting with the 'reboot=b'
kernel boot option?
