No, I am happy to see that the keyboard commands appear to work now !

I still have no window decorations though, which is a big problem, but I
bet there must be already a bug report about this somewhere... will have

Okay, I tried it on Feisty, with compiz 0.3.4 as founf in synaptic. I followed
the instructions in the "CompizOnFeisty" wiki page.

Hmm, let's forget about ths bug... I have just given "Beryl" a try (found a
howto in the Ubuntu Wiki), and to my surprise it just worked ! So I am not
interested in using debugging compiz anymore.
That said, if Beryl is based on compiz,it's strange that one works perfectly
and the other not that
Well, I simply installed the packages from universe in Synaptic:
"compiz-gnome" and "compiz-plugins"
then to start it I looked in the man page of compiz, at the bottom of
it, it says that if you use Aiglx, you must start it this way:
$compiz --indirect-rendering --stric-binding --replace gconf
