Same problem here with 10.04 (EasyPeasy 1.6) and Banshee 2.0.1. My external
drive is a Samsung Model SE-S204.
CDs in this drive are readable by other programs, and I am able to play music
from an MP3 player via the same USB port. I will be happy to provide more
information, but will need instr

Abd to note - I went ahead and for the moment installed rhythmbox, it like vlc
hasn't any issue discovering and playing from the external

Sorry for delay - wanted to do a fresh install to discount any accumulated
issues (.iso of jan. 19
debug is attached - reflects starting banshee in debug, inserting an audio cd
in external drive (/dev/sr2) and then in the pop up choosing banshee to open
with
