pcscd spams syslog whenever mozilla is running and CA
Yes, https://software.forge.mil requires a smartcard login. Presently
I'm forced to use virtualbox w/ WinXP. I also posted a comment on the
libcackey forum on that site. Firefox 4 compatibility appears to be a
known issue.

@kenburgi, it is most likely a bug in libcackey.so.
I can't access software.forge.mil myself. Maybe the website is not

This was not present in 10.04, I believe I was still using Firefox 3.5
(whichever was normal, I did not manually install Firefox 4.0). I did a
fresh install of 11.04, with a completely new partition table. I am
using the CACKey (libcackey.so) downloaded from software.forge.mil. The
original 'libc
Using /etc/default/pcscd is also a good idea. But it will work only if pcscd is
started from the /etc/init.d/pcscd init script.
pcscd is now started on-demand. See

The problem is also with the PKCS#11 lib for your CAC smart card. The
software should not try to connect to a card if no card is present.
What PKCS#11 library are you using?
