Changing to 2.6.39 solved this issue for me. How to upgrade it has been
posted in multiple places, but basically
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kernel-ppa/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get -u dist-upgrade

I believe I have the same bug. After the dumping this to dmesg, the
system will freeze any process trying to access the drive. The system
has been running stable for 4+months with 10.10 but started crashing a
couple of minutes after booting up with 11.04.
