This sudden rebooting problem is becoming increasingly frequent, but it
now happens with programs other than Firefox as well. The computer
often reboots immediately when I open a new application. For example,
it has happened when I have opened gnome-terminal and totem as well.
Sometimes X just re
The problem is become more persistent, but it's looking like it may be a
mysterious hardware issue, since it happens with the Edgy live CD as
well. For some reason it only happens when I click on something and not
when I'm away from the computer, which is what made me think it was a
software issue

hardware issue that happens when CPU usage spikes. It became less
frequent when I realized that overclocking was on and turned it off.
