The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would

I upgrade to 7.04. Here speakers work correctly but headphones jack not,
but adding model=6stack-digout solve the problem for a while. But after
another kernel update I still doesn't have headphones and microphone
working. I've tried model=toshiba and it was a good choice (everything
was
model=toshiba or model=uniwill-m31 are not valid alternatives for
Toshiba L30-134. Trying this ends up in auto-probing BIOS:

Try doing the following:
In terminal,
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/sound
paste this line
options snd-hda-intel model=uniwill-m31 position_fix=1
save and exit
if you are are using feisty or compiled a newer version of alsa the
dep_range problem is gone and you wont need position_fix=1

First I tried Alsa from standard repositions, then I installed the
newest Alsa from Alsa-project.
