Okay, well I've installed the stable version provided in the PPA, and I
still get errors:

Stefano, it's a Won't Fix from our end at least.
emesene 2 requires python-papyon >= 0.5.5, which also requires an update
of empathy and with that probably every telepathy library. I'm not sure,
but if even more messenger clients/programs rely on the libraries
empathy relies on, those would probab
sbte: 1.6 is what's published in Lucid, which is what Mike is running.
If it's totally broken, and not fixable, we should SRU / Backport a
newer version, not ignore the bugs
