This now happens to me also, with Ubuntu 7.04 (is that Feisty?). It
started after I accepted an automatic update for VMware (I installed
VMware off a direct download from VMware, not from the package manager;
the update was for device drivers of some description) and has been
consistently present
Sigh: entry continued: Other symptoms appearing at the same time include
power management disappearing off the shutdown menu (no more suspend
or hibernate) and USB flash drives no longer mounting (although lsusb
can see the devices). IIRC, a USB hard disk with four FAT32 partitions
was recognized

I also just started receiving this error on Edgy Server using Kernel
2.6.17-50 as per the upgrade. Is there a way to roll back the upgrade?

This has only happened since the last updates.
Any help would be welcome.

I inconsistently get that message after power up and booting Ubuntu
6.10. Rebooting always has come up without that error.

Thanks for your bug report. With which version of Feisty Fawn did you
notice this? Could you please also add the full output of 'lspci -vv'
and 'lspci -vvn' to your bug report as attachments? Thanks in advance.
