Latest kernel (2.6.20-14) fixes all the problems mentioned in this bug
(proper suspend/resume done quickly) for the TC4200 Tablet PC. Thanks

2.6.20-12 does not have working suspend on the NC4200. Here, there is an
unfortunate catch-22. If I keep ata_piix and libata blacklisted, there
is no-go even booting up. If I allow them to load, suspend breaks.
2.6.20-11 with patches as noted before works great.

I applied the patches noted here, as well as those noted in Bug #75398.
The resulting package is a properly working suspend / resume for my
NC4200.
Please see Bug #75398 for a package of the 2.6.20 kernel with these
fixes.

I followed the procedure shown in comments for Bug #74977 (disabling
CONFIG_ATA_PIIX, applying the ide_acpi patch and rebuilding the kernel).
I'm now able to suspend and resume successfully with the new kernel.
This suggests that the failure to resume is due to the same bug as
#74977.

Also experiencing this problem on an emachines m6810 AMD_64 with ATI Radeon
9600.
Suspend is slow, but eventually goes down, leaving power light blinking. When
I touch any key, the power light comes back on solid, but the video never comes
back. Pwr cycle and reboot is necessary.

I tried to suspend and then resume the machine (with a clean install of
feisty). Prior to the suspend and resume there was a
/var/log/kern.log.0, but after a hard reset and reboot, there was only a
/var/log/kern.log, which is attached.
When I tried to resume the machine, nothing happened for a fe

This sounds very similar as regression I am experiencing on HP nw8240.

Hang of the system would indicate kernel bug, so this should probably be
reassigned to linux-source-2.6.20.
