No matter what you do, whether it be making a logo or composing a
soundtrack, someone is going to complain if there is something wrong.
That looks disgusting! That song offends my religion! I don't like
the way you wrote that!
Ubuntu is going to be catering to everybody, and if there is a
I must say I am forced to agree. Generally I am not a prude in any
sense, but a serious Linux distribution has to avoid even the *chance*
of something being misinterpreted as inappropriate.

I work in a small office where I own the only Linux workstation. Linux
ridiculed on a daily basis here, and this splash screen isn't going to
help matters.
Yes myself and my colleagues agree that the new splash screen resembles

I agree with these sentiments. As well as that, one could argue that
this splash image is inconsistent with the rest of Feisty's artwork.

I agree with this completely, but there are many people that don't. If
this version is published in Feisty, I'm sure we will receive complaints
like we did with the old ubuntu-calendar package.
