So there are approximately 3 possibilities: 1) Some library it's linked with has been fixed/changed 2) Some compiler change has made it go away 3) Perhaps the bug is still there but only triggered if unlucky due to data alignment etc - so you got lucky this time. bit tricky to track down

The crash is still present in Ubuntu 12.10. However, starting with Ubuntu 13.04, I am no longer able to reproduce it. It's a bit of a mystery why since both contain version 0.38-5.1 of the package, so it is not clear to me what changed. Nevertheless, since the crash is gone, I believe this bug can
