My fix no longer works on Jaunty, sadly. Even with my fix (above), the
external mouse is frozen on resume. Re-enabling the frozen external
mouse amounts to just unplugging and re-plugging it.

I can confirm this on 2.6.27 kernel. Patrick Jordan's workaround did
the trick for me, although instead of creating a new file in config.d, I
added the modules to the SUSPEND_MODULES line in /usr/lib/pm-

I have this problem on a desktop computer. On suspend+resume, my MIDI to
USB adaptor is turned on but the computer won't interact with it. If I
unplug and plug the adaptor back in, it works again. I think (IIRC) it's
systematic, every suspend+resume leaves the device temporarily unusable.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would

Removed "ehci_hcd" from the MODULES variable in /etc/default/acpi-support. I
had put that there when having problems with USB after suspend in previous
Ubuntu releases.
Inital testing suggests that it seems to have resolved the issue. Will test
more and close bug report if all goes well.
