You expose different problems from this report:
1 - autostart is not correctly working with KDE which surprises me a lot and is
probably not a Psensor issue
2 - psensor can run twice: this is not really a bug, but a missing feature.
For 1) I would recommend to open a separate bug,
I'd like to confirm that psensor 0.6.2.16 is running on my system
Kubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, Precise Pangolin every time I log in - unwanted.
Although I like the functionality I'd like to have an option to disable
from running automatic. I can close the psensor just fine but every time

Psensor is running when
I have installed Lubuntu 12.04 and I don't reproduce the bug psensor to
require extra steps to kill.. Psensor can be closed
using the application menu or the graph context menu. As Lubuntu desktop is
providing a tray bar, closing the psensor window only hides it, that's expected
and not a bug.
