It seems I have bumped into another freeze even with this workaround enabled. Well, I'll do more testing anyways... I would like to help testing another kernel, but on my Samsung laptop both 3.3.x and 3.4rc (at least mainline) versions have serious regressions, since I have to use samsung-tools

I have tried installing 2.19.0 from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates but I still get these same hangs, so I believe the root of the cause lies somewhere in the kernel. Or it just was not solved in this version. I noticed that these bugs usually occur after the machine is

The problem seems to depend on what kernel i am using. I installed Kernel 3.3.4 yesterday evening from here: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.3.4-precise/ And no more freezes since then. I was trying hard today to make my system freeze having many applications open including

I seem to have the same problem, same graphics card. It happens rather regularly on my laptop. About every 30-60 minutes. Super-SysRq-k usually doesn't work for me. Sometimes it does. This problem has appeared for me unregarding of what programs i am using. Once even having all programs closed
