I have a similar setup, with a MSI KT233-Pro2A mainboard. There is a
conflict between the libata-based it821x driver and the via82cxxx old-
style IDE driver. If one uses old IDE drivers as in, say, Debian or all

I've just read through this bug, and a little experimentation led me to
conclude that I had the same problem. Setting -B254 seems to solve it,
although the hard drive temperature is now stable at 49 degrees, which
is a bit higher than before.

after re-installing wubi the audio was routed throug my audiophile 96/24 pci to
my stereo system but the volume was low.

I have the same problem. When compiz is activated and I start evolution
with alltray, drag and drop does not work. So I made some tests:
compiz + alltray + evolution = bug
compiz + evolution = ok
alltray + evolution = ok
I am using compiz with the nvidia-glx-new package.

The following commands solve the problem (i added the 2 modules in my
/etc/modules file).
