Okey, I gave it a try, and I got a working package.
BUT there is another problem regarding the web-server, since it depends
on MrEd which is included in the drscheme package. So the debdiff also
includes a move of the mred collects to the mzscheme deb which might
(quite possibly) be the wrong way
I don't know why and how but effects are working again...
I just reinstalled kwin-kde4 and now the effects are working. But I tried this
before and than it did not work :-(

I tested Del on Debian Lenny. After I installed xfce it didn't work. With
xserver installed Del-key works normaly.
When I purge all xfce packages Del didn't work but after restart it start
working.
In my opinion the bug is in one of graphical environment packages.

Likewise. Mine are on an auto-hide panel, and when I first un-hide the
panel, ALL the drawers on it open simultaneously. After closing them
all, they either open in the top-left corner of the screen (the corner
opposite their parent panel), or not at all. Very aggravating, as since

Not to sound harsh ( and I am only speaking for myself, I am not a
representative of Ubuntu in any way ) but you really have no reason to
complain about a bug in Software that you have been warned not to use on
a production system. If you are not prepared to re-install and possibly
even loose data
Sorry for being unclear. I meant ccsm won't be included by default? Or
any configuration tool besides just selecting extra in the appearances
tab?

I have added ubuntulooks to the affected packages since people are
saying that it only occurs with that.
Also, to expand on my original comment, mousing over the title bar
buttons makes this happen like every 1 or 2 times for me. Switching tabs
in Firefox makes it happen about every 4 times.

I have experienced the problem also.
the symptom I observed: the login screen was coming back after normal login.
The error was not evident.
.xsession_errors contained something similar as level15 first reported for this
bug.
the qt-language-selector --mode select workaround works for me too
