Interesting is, that a parallely installed kernel 2.6.24-16-rt boots normally.

I fixed it on my machine. I was using dual mons and hardy .16 kernel
removed the nvidia drivers. I went into recovery mode and X recovered
itself and backed up my xorg.conf and replaced it with somethign fairly

Go to Places->Computer
Right click a drive and try to Rename it. It does not work in Hardy. This
used to work in Gutsy (at least, that's what I've been told by another user).

not caused by Rhythmbox as such, but most likely either by my USB
wireless adapter (Digicom USB Wave 54 - zd1211rw) or by the USB 2.0 PCI
card (D-Link DU-520 with NEC chipset) to which the wireless device is
connected.

I have tried to reproduced this issue on hardy. I can see a behaviour
that fits the description given, however, it seems to be correct

I can confirm this bug. kde-window-decorator crashes as described, on my
box, and also when doing lots of assorted compiz-related things, like
changing various "desktop effects" settings in ccsm.

I'm also seeing random (i.e. doesn't always happen) X crashes when playing
videos on Intel-graphics hardware using XV. If a crash occurs, it happens
immediately when trying to
play a video through XV. Last time it happened was playing a small video
(dimension-wise) in the Totem-browser plugin.
I should add that I'm using the nvidia closed drivers, so it's probably
not intel-related.
