I've tried Ubuntu's 2.6.32 with nouveau driver and it works even if the screen
resolution is incorrect. When I restart X with Nvidia drivers the screen turn
off and the computer dies... even the Magic SysRq doesn't work, the only way to
restart the machine is an hard reset which

Well I have not used Thunar in a while so I cannot tell, but with pcmanfm2 it
was fixed for me the day after the libfm fix was released. I can now happily
browse in whatever view I want, and everything (finally) works fine like it
used to.

What is the output of the failing make command?

I have this bug on two computers, both laptops. Thus it is reproducable.
Steps.
1. Set up a blank ubuntu install.
2. Install Squid with the configuration attached.
3. Enter proxy settings in e.g. Firefox.
4. Use the internet connection.
5. Use Gnome network manager to stop network connection.
6.
I was able to get around it.
Looking for what the user snmp was doing I found
$~ ps auxf|grep [s]nmp
snmp 1129 0.0 0.0 10384 296 ?Ss 14:19 0:00 rpc.statd -L
After
$~ sudo /etc/init.d/statd stop
the process was gone and the user 'snmp' did no longer own any process
and
I just installed kernel version 2.6.34-020634rc6 from the mainline repository
and am happy to report that the card does work correctly with this version.
Also it fixed another problem with digital sound output not working out of the
box and lots of stuttering with custom-built alsa-drivers. If

After having installed several additional applications and language
support, Dejavu extralight works fine (don't know what exactly has made
it work). I can however confirm that condensed is still not working.

Still not working here. Now that I know it's gnome-settings-daemon, I
did aptitude reinstall gnome-settings-daemon and still no success.
I opened the menu system preferences keyboard shortcuts and can

username. Looking at the code I think gwibber just isn't handling the
case where facebook doesn't tell us what your facebook username is.

I confirm. Using the Debian version, a short test program (a simple main
function doing nothing) could actually be compiled. In contrary to the
current Ubuntu package, it has got 64-bit libgcc and other missing
files, although a 64-bit g++ compiler isn't there.

Currently I'm simply using 2.6.32-21 from lucid repositories.
I don't use any other package than acerhk-source and its dependencies.

Affects also to me, I've even compiled myself latest OpenMotif to see if
it worked right, but no. I do some Motif devel and all my popup menus
are affected.
My googling has thrown me across Gentoo forums and I've ended at xorg
