Well - as mentioned earlier - I was having problems earlier with
random/sporadic "Black Screens".
Based on threads etc. I suspected problems with video drivers and intel
chiopset.
Anyhow I had reproducible test case (System > Admin > System Testing >
Video tests => Crash)
After trying out a lot
the problem actually exists in desktopcouch bug 522538. gwibber service
crashes because connection is refused.

an account, a "program is still running" window appears and lists "power
manager" with three options: "lock

I think this may have something to do with the upgrade to 10.04. I
completely reinstalled the OS after I received mine, the sound worked
fine in 9.10, but not in 10.04 reinstall. What I do remember is that the
9.10 had two hardware drivers installed under the "hardware drivers" in
the "system" menu
I've tried it every once in a while and still can't open Gwibber at all.
I get this error and another for Telepathy every time...

I have reinstalled KeePassX (as well as performed numerous updates,
including Firefox 3.6.8), and have not seen the phenomenon manifest
itself again.
At this point, this bug is considered closed.

I'm having the same problem. I ended up renaming the network-
interface.conf file to *.disabled as this is a server and all network
interfaces are static and persistent (i.e. I don't want them to go down
unless I say "ifdown foo" on the command-line).
