Attached a screenshot that shows how a window opens maximized vertically
but being very narrow. It is the Firefox downloads dialog, and I keep
trying to make it open in a small window as usual, no success. Also, the

After some testing, I have found a possible cause. The instance with SMP
and CentOS i386 seems to boot fine when using a different clocksource.
You can test this by booting the CD/DVD image with: linux
clocksource=acpi_pm

On Oneiric, when you have a keyboard with numpad, numbers are always off on
boot. Each time you boot you have to press numlock on the keyboard which is a
bit frustrating.
Former ubuntu releases could keep that setting which is not true with gnome 3.
