If you're still reading this bug report and having this issue, what's the
content of $HOME/.config/user-dirs.locale?
I guess it contains "C", or "en_US"... (it looks like this upstream bug:

hi people,
yesterday I found the new Nvidia-driver working with this new Kernel
2.6.38-11.
So I installed it, but jockey still gives this wrong output with "driver
activated but not in use.
Then today I did the system-update with the package ubuntu-x-swat and
now my Terminal reports this:
Error

Ah, good catch. I did happen to run out of diskspace on root due to a
faulty copy command on my side. However, I think it would be good if
this error could somehow bubble up to the software center.

I really think it should be possible to select nl_BE in the list.
Now you can add 'Nederlands (Belgie)', but after a restart it gets removed from
the interface.
This is really something we do not want here.

pitti, can we also open up subdirectories of /usr/lib/cups/filter/ for
filter execution? In comment #15 it seems that a proprietary Dell driver
is used with /usr/lib/cups/filter/Dell_2155_Color_MFP/DLM_MF as filter
and AppArmor blocks this.
