issue on Gentoo. As far as I've seen, starting with kernel 3.11 alsa
doesn't even show the volume for the front speaker. It's completely
gone. :))

Yesterday I ran saucy-desktop-amd64.iso in an Ubuntu Host running
lubuntu-desktop with a not fully up to date 12.04.2 LTS.
(1) The installation proceeded as it should (it finished gracefully),
(2) I discovered, that the installed system boots to grub, but then
nothing happen
The other problem is the volume control and switch at node 0x1f
This should be renamed to "Front" if pin is Line Out and "Speaker" if
pin is internal speaker
since PCM is only defined in the common path by pulseaudio
