Thanks for your thoughts - it's good to keep things in perspective. My
point is more that rapid adoption of Ubuntu would be achieved faster if
these recurring 'bugs' with flagship hardware could be sorted out. That
said, I'm a fairly happy Ubuntu user, and have been using it since 8.

If I login to adb shell too soon then mtp exits me from adb shell.

1. adb reboot
2. Wait for Mtp icon to appear in launcher
3. Wait for welcome screen to appear on phone
4. As soon as that happens, in the terminal type adb shell
5. Wait for nautilus to open the MTP win
