For information, as I previously said, the only things I need to update in
order to install the quitplot package from debian repo is the library
libalglib from version 3.7 in ubuntu saucy to 3.8 from debian repo.

I installed a fresh Ubuntu 13.10 64 bits in a new Asus I7 A55A. Standard
install . All run perfect.
I connect a USB-Serial adapter model HL340, it has pl2303 chip but NEVER appear
the /dev/ttysUSB0 device.
In other machines I found inmediatelly a new
/dev/ttyUSB0
and
I can confirm this bug:

I am getting the following error dialog when starting sudo synaptic,
at the end of the Reading package lists process:
E: Could not open file - open (2: No such file or directory)
E: _cache-open() failed, please report.
Using sudo aptitude does not produce an error.
I already try to :
- reinstall the unity-lens-application package
- delete the .config and .cache folder
- activate the unity plugin with ccsm
- delete the ~/.local/share/zeitgeist/activity.sqlite file
- use the unity-reset script
