settings configured to not show the launcher on the lock screen, it
still shows on the Unity 8 lock screen after the timeout has passed.
It seems like really the launcher should never be shown on the lock
FYI - Colin has merged the fix, uploaded to Debian and synced to Zesty.
But the sync is blocked by an issue with another bundled fix (see bug 1668093).

Yes, I assume it would happen on Debian if you are running i386!
Otherwise, steam is uninstallable in GNOME Software (that's what this
bug is originally about, and I haven't forwarded my changes to Debian
yet).
I can verify the debconf issue with GNOME Software using the PK backend
on Ubuntu.
I haven't reported it to Debian, I did not have a test system to confirm
that it is present there as well (I'm quite sure it would be present, it
is the same package source) (And https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting
for manual reporting seems quite scary...)

I still haven't found workaround for any of our problems with ASUS laptops.
Kernel developer who in the past solved Elan touchpad issues on my previous two
ASUS laptops told me that this time he unfortunately can't help me because my
current problem is something with the elan_i2c driver.
I'm going to go ahead and close this since it seems this isn't
reproducible on Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 with all updates installed. But you
can reopen this or file a new bug if you get this issue again.

Small update: If we go with mitigation 0, we won't be using python-
filelock. We'll either use an existing Python file locking module
packaged in Ubuntu or add our own code that implements lockfiles to
Certbot.

Hi,
I was able to reproduce at least partially.
I must admit that I never heard about host-model before, host-passthrough
usually.
Checking the doc [1] reveals that the function is broken pre libvirt
3.2/qemu2.9 - and e.g. the qemu is not even released yet.
So even if we would make host-model
incomplete on libvirt waiting for openstack expertise on this case
