I was able to reproduce this.
If I have terminal(doesn't matter if terminator or the one that comes
with ubuntu) on and mouse pointer on the terminal while typing, it
triggers the screen with the pointer to go black for a short time with

Hi there,
We are using 'pdf2txt' command in our scripts to convert some pdf files to
text and trying to read some data from the output. The command gives expected
output in Ubuntu 14.04. But in Ubuntu 16.04, with the same input pdf file, we
are getting a different output
Confirm that the same is happening here on Ubuntu 16.04, version of
dpkg-sig is 0.13.1+nmu2.
Also the root cause seems to be the following code which passes the
--passphrase-fd option to gpg in the code:

Reinstalling anything that drops something into CONFIG_RTE_EAL_PMD_PATH
is triggering the issue.
For example having a DPDK 17.11 system plus librte-pmd-ixgbe17.05 which drops:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dpdk-pmds/librte_pmd_ixgbe.so.17.05
Will make it break.
