operating normally. I did fiddle with the "Display" GUI a bit before it

switched from wayland to xorg but it jumps all over the place in the
resulting video like i'm alt-tabbing constantly.

mdadm can handle hdd's when they have identical WWN's.

Got all five .deb files then used this command:
sudo apt install ./*.deb
But, when choosing the -4007-oem kernel it says the signature is wrong and
quits.
The -1008-oem kernel still doesn't start the external display and the dock
doesn't run right away. (Ethernet doesn't work).

Hi! I have updates on this: ¡IT WAS A CABLE PROBLEM!
Same cable and same monitor that works OK with my HP OMEN 15 doesn't
work with my HP 440 G7... I tried with a different cable (a shorter one)
and everything looks normal.

iwlwifi :03:00.0: No beacon heard and the
FYI, several updates here - for other reasons, but ... BIOS, Linux
(Ubuntu), qemu (to master) => now it works on boot. Arrgh! I only say
that because I can't duplicate it any more, with all these updates.
That's good overall. LOL!
