I'm with wpa_supplicant (default). And netplan status says the Wifi
connection is up so not sure the "No WiFi" line is the root cause or
just a red-herring.

Hmm, one thing that a test build in oracular shows is that lintian
complains about the package depending on lsb-base, which is now an empty
transitional package. It appears the only reason it depends on it is for
the init-script in debian/quickml.init and there's no equivalent systemd
package.

Sorry I didn't think thru my wording clear enough... To be useful the
`apport-collect` has to be run AFTER a failed install, however to confirm it
failed (by your already provided description) you need to reboot & thus the
report I want
24.04 chose as default aptX-LL and I changed it to SBC-XQ codec. With
this I haven't had any issues after change. Sounds to my ear as good,
but I don't have audiophile hearing. Headphones in my use are Valco
VMK20.

I have verified this bug on the latest available Ubuntu 24.04 host. The issue
has been fixed and is not getting reproduced anymore!
