Public bug reported:
I'm not sure if it's a kernel bug or a CIFS bug.
I'm having this problem when trying to access files (using autofs) on.
It works with kernel 3.13.0-35-generic but not with kernel
3.13.0-36-generic.

/net/s
3.13.0-38-generic also fixed the problem for me.

I had the same problem with Ubuntu 12.10.
Here's a patch for Quantal. I'm not sure if the version number is
correct since the version format changed to 2.4.0 (0.80+1.0) to 0.80+1.1
on 2012-01-10 and 0.83+2.1 is less than 2.4.0.

I'm having this bug using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) Beta 1.
The live cd won't boot. It ends with the loading Ubuntu logo being
corrupted.
Some times I'm able to do alt+sysreq+r then alt+sysreq+e and get to a
console and I saw a gpu lockup with nouveau in the dmesg.
