this is also a problem on the dell m1330 laptop model as well. fn+up
does not increase brightness, but fn+down does decrease. Software
changes are possible with no irregularities. This change though happened
not on 9/18 as previously mentioned but on 9/17´s round of updates.

I had the same problem for firefox and thunderbird (gutsy updated today) and
worked for me the workaround proposed by eroulland!
After removed ~/.gtkrc-* everything is now working well
Strange thing, after reboot of both firefox/thunderbird, the directories arte
not recreated..

Sorry, that was a mistake.
After updating to the new kernel (-11) it seemed to stop blinking. The

(2.6.31-15) grub fail booting default kernel with message load kernel

I think that everyone here that is having the issue should report which
access point they are having the issue with and whether the problem can
be replicated with a different access point. It seems that quite a few
people that are having this issue (myself included) are using the
Linksys WRT54GL

The thing that's weird is that, for me, the signal strength seems fine.
It's consistently in the -70 to -60dBm range (40-50/70 in link quality).
But yeah, it seems that the Intel driver is quite poor. Infact, I would
almost say that I've had better luck with ndiswrapper. I will say that
I'm no longer using the same version of Eclipse (now on 3.5.1), openjdk
(now 6b12-0ubuntu6.5), or indeed Ubuntu (now 8.10). I haven't seen a
repeat of this issue.

Thanks for that link Reinhard. I want to help out, if you dont mind
letting me know which of the packages in those ppa are the ones I would
install, I will do so. gnome-screensaver or vlc? or both? (want to
make sure I am doing it correctly so we can get proper results.)

Recently I moved from 9.04 to 9.10 and found that lyx does not show pdf
graphics anymore. The Error converting loadable format messages are
displayed instead pdf graphics.
Reproducing this bug is very simple, just open lyx, create new file
