The command that appears to be hanging is:
modprobe -wl
If you open another terminal and do:
ps aux | grep modprobe
you will see the hung process and can eliminate it using
kill -9 processid

Actually, I no longer have that case with the VFD display, so couldn't
comment on how well it works currently...

Did this to the whole file, then chmod'ed it +x and fired it off...
The only real rub is you have to keep hitting enter every now and then
in the install.

Upon the latest kernel update, the bottom screen on my Zenbook Duo
failed to respond to touch or pen responses. It doesn't show up in
xinput either. Reverting back to the previous kernel fixes this

Weirdly, you can't disable the extension within the 'Tweaks' 'extensions'
option, but if you install the gnome-shell-extension-prefs application (see

details) then you get an 'Extensions' application where you can disable

This workaround (pci=nocrs) sorted my Touchpad issues on a Clevo NL51LU; it
wasn't being detected due to the 'resource claim' issue at boot, as above.

Clean install of Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS on new laptop.
Touchpad not recognised, shows as ImPS/2 Logitech Wheel Mouse on xinput.
Have tried adding kernel parameters for i8042 - reset, nomux, nopnp,
noloop but had no effect.
