Just piping in to voice that oem-config-gtk is currently quite essential to system vendors shipping Ubuntu Desktop. Any action taken here should avoid breaking oem installs for 17.04, 17.10, etc. Whether that means keeping aptdaemon around or porting oem-config-gtk, I don't have a clear opinion
