There are not going to be new branches, but if you want to think of it in that
sense, gnome3-staging is basically the current development
branch, vivid is the unstable branch. The stable branc

flavour of Ubuntu. The release circles of Ubuntu and its official
derivatives must be in sync, plus other factors are counted as well.
