By default the xorg.conf surely isn't empty, just that the driver is
not listed since the server autodetects it. Please try setting 'Option
HWCursor false' in the Device-section.

Actually it turns out the user has to be in both the 'kvm' and
'libvirtd' group.
I had to manually add the user to both groups before the error would go
away.

I can confirm this issue, it happened to me when I attempted to play a
DVD I just bought, Totem should display a message providing information
about the need for the libdvdcss package and also a button wich installs
the package, an end-user would just not know what is going on and how to
solve

My previous message was unclear: with the version I installed I could
connect to an advertised wpa2 psk network, but _not_ to a hidden non-
encrypted network. I was also unable to connect to a wired network, but
rebooting fixed that and it might be a different problem.
