I can confirm this. I also have blacklisted ath_pci. It doesn't work
anymore for me because network-manager dropped all workarounds for
connecting with hidden aps.
Maybe ath_pci should be blacklisted by default?

I can also confirm this issue.
I ran it from the CD and from my installed Intrepid systems and as soon

Also installing the packet xserver-xgl smooths animations and solves
other problems like the media-flow plugin in songbird (just type sudo
apt-get install xserver-xgl under the console or search the packet
trough Synaptic).

Anyway, In Hardy I tried giving
xrandr --output VGA-0 --rotate left
command from a terminal, but nothing happened, no rotation, no output from
terminal, nothing.
It's the same result I got using DVI-0.
I try it in Intrepid ASAP and I'll give you the result.

Fresh install of kubuntu Intrepid alpha 5, then full update. Attempt
detection of wlan hardware with Hardware Drivers Manager, which finds
and activates wl, and also proposes fwcutter usage to get Broadcom
B43 wireless driver. This downloads the firmware without complaint,
Removed [hardy] from title. This effects both the package in hardy-
backports and in intrepid.

Well, did it boot? The main target of this thread was to test if the
Suspend-to-RAM Kernel panic bug is gone.. did you test that?
I have a few issues with my sound device with .27, but I think thats
because I don't have the restricted modules package installed..

I installed the 2.6.27.2-generic kernel on Linux Mint 5 I my results are
similar to Daniel's. This is with OR without the USB hub and devices
plugged in. On resume, the screen is blank and it looks like the machine
locked up. But in fact, the OS is active. I had to fly blind, but I did a
