Hi. I tried everything listed in the comments before but I'm still unable to
use some keys. Arrow down and Page UP

I also tried booting Debian Lenny beta2 netinst cd and it hanged after
detecting the ide disk and cd drive.
Debian listed the ide controller as ALI15X3.
The ide controller works because I have Solaris 10 installed on this disk.

I have tested it on two boxes, one not updated to -proposed (1.3.9-2)

8.10 works perfectly on the inspiron 531. The only missing bit is the
LTS flag...

Acer TM6292 is a new model, and the driver acerhk.ko is old and supports
old models (up to 2005 year). Maybe the problem is in the driver. Maybe
this driver should be updated, or we could modprobe acerhk
force_series=(something)...
I also have problems with my Acer TM2424. However, I like that
you can open a bug against gtk on bugzilla.gnome.org
